You’re invited: Blog party

Your invited_ Blog party

I will be hosting my first blog party on Tuesday, June 5th and if you blog about disability or a chronic illness you’re invited! If you work very hard on your blog and aren’t getting as many views as you would like or have been trying to get more followers this is the perfect opportunity! What do you do at a blog party? I will give you an outline of what you will do at my blog party and few simple rules so everything goes smoothly.

Mission: Help bloggers with a disability or chronic illness increase engagement.

If you are a blogger and want to attend my blog party all you have to do is comment on this post on June 5th with the name of your blog and what it is all about.

So everything runs smoothly here are a few rules

Please don’t use profanity I am trying to create a kid-friendly blog.

I understand you may not like every blog that participates that is okay but trashing another blog is not only hurtful but also not necessary. If you don’t like a blog don’t say anything at all

If there is another blog participating that you enjoy give them a compliment and let them know they are doing a great job!

Sometimes finding something to talk about can be difficult here are some ideas:

Where are you from?

What are your favorite hobbies?

What are your favorite things to write about?

What inspires you to write?

How long have you been blogging?

What disability or chronic illness do you write about?

What are some of your best blogging tips?

Why did you start a blog?

If you do not blog about a disability or chronic illness this party is not for you! How can you help? Share this post and help spread the word! This party ends Wednesday, June 6th but feel free to leave your links anytime!

  1. Hi everyone! My name is Karly. I’m 26 and I write a disability lifestyle blog: karlyjoy.com.

I like to talk about my life with Muscular Dystrophy and pretty much any and all topics regarding the disability community. I also like to write about mental health and any of my interests like Disney or art, because I’ve always found it important to show that disabled people enjoy “normal” things too.

I have a part time job so I have to blog around my schedule, but I love writing every week and coming up with new ideas to post. I’ve got a few cool things that will hopefully be in the works within the next few months, so I hope you’ll check out my blog! I look forward to reading all of yours as well 😊

  3. Hi, I’m Lowen: student of photography, advocate for chronic illness and disability, perpetual drinker of tea.

I run a website called livingpositivelywithdisability.com about, guess what? Living Positively With Disability! When I had to give up my career due to a neurological condition, I searched everywhere for help on how to move forward in a positive way in my life and found sadly little. I had to figure it all out myself, in a slow and painful manner. I don’t want others to have to do that, so I started a website to offer sound, well researched information and links to other resources. Being the mum of a severely disabled child, I also have information to share with parents of the disabled.

I have a professional background in special education, research, care giving and therapy, which I draw on also.

    Trivial facts about me include:

I live in New Zealand, have 2 children, 3 cats and 1 husband, blog full time (x3), am a Potterhead, a Science Fiction Nut and collect every-day wear vintage clothing. I used to paint but since my hands have given up on me, I am learning photography and computer art (very slowly!). My name, Lowen, means ‘happy’ in Cornish. Lowena, which I sometimes use online, means ‘happiness’. It is the meaning of Life! (cap intended). If you are interested in living positively, come this way and let’s build awesome ideas together!

Thanks for giving us this opportunity to share our stories Sarah x
